In Any Event, We're Here To Work With You

What does the 2021 season have in store for our tournaments?

At this point we are going ahead with all our tournaments for the 2021 season, but with some big changes. To try to ensure the safety of all participants, we are going to run a practically no contact tournament system. This will be accomplished by running the tournaments as CPR (Catch, Photo, Release) events. This format will allow us to limit contact between both the event staff and anglers. The only in person interaction will be during boat checks each morning and awards at the end of the event. We are disappointed that we won't be able to have our full event, and will especially miss the comradery during both the banquet and the awards ceremony. We promise that as soon as we are able to safely enjoy those aspects of our tournaments, they will be back with a vengeance.

How are we going to handle the weigh in?

The MyCatch by Angler's Atlas app.  For those that aren't, here's some insight from Dallas Kirkpatrickon how it works, as well as some answers to requently asked questions.  Please remember to give his video a like when you've watched it through. The adjusted rules for the 2021 RRWC will be coming out soon, but essentially everything you've come to expect at our events in relation to the fish will be in place, with the addition that you will need a commercially made and available-at-retail bump board for this year's RRWC.

If you have any further questions about the app or its use in the upcoming events, please contact us here, and we will do our best to answer your questions.

You can use the link below to get both more information on the MyCatch app, as well as download it to your phone.

We all have a love of our fisheries and a desire to preserve and protect them, not just for ourselves but for generations to come.

We are happy to say that, even with the changes to this years walleye tournaments, your Central Walleye Trail points will still count. We want to thank the CWT for their support and encouragement during these difficult times. Their willingness to adapt to ensure that tournaments can offer an alternative to having to cancel their events, is only one of the many reasons we are proud to be a part of their trail.

All the tournaments being able to run also means that the SaskSlam is on this year as well!

So get your gear sorted, your accommodations booked and get ready for an amazing season!

The BBC is truly an extraordinary event.  This year, what began
as a “club event” for the Estevan Wildlife Federation will now field
more dedicated anglers from across Western Canada and the upper United States than at any other time in its history!

As cool as that is, bringing anglers and their families to Estevan
and surrounding area during the tournament and outside of it;
the BBC is more than that.  When you launch in the morning, you
will spend the day fishing for Largemouth Bass in Boundary Dam
Reservoir in Woodlawn Regional Park.  When you return to
weigh-in, most if not all of you will have a full basket of these
exceptional fish.  How is that possible?  There are some very good
reasons why you have to drive roughly seven hours in any given
direction to wet a line for these magnificent creatures.  Largemouth bass, whether originally from Florida or Texas, just aren’t a fan of the climate here!

When you have a moment, please consider reaching out to the good folks at SaskPower and thank them for the ecosystem they’ve created that supports this incredible fishery.  They really need to hear from you, the anglers, how important these fish are to you, and to this area.
